Second Annual Runway Fest — Fun for the Entire Family
Join us on Friday, August 9, 2013 for the Second Annual Runway Fest from 6pm to 10pm at the Wright Brothers Airport.
Festival Activities Include:
- Flyover by Wright B Flyer Look-alike
- Aircraft (Including Wright B Flyer Look-alike) on display
- Vendor Exhibits in Commander Aero Hangar
- Sponsor Exhibits in Commander Aero Hangar
- Door Prizes
- Food Vendors
- Face Painting, Clowns, Bouncy House, and Balloon Artists for the Young-at-Heart
- Fireworks Display After Dark
The Wright B Flyer Museum will be open from 6pm to 10pm and will serve as one of the entry and exit points for the Fest.
The Dayton Wright Brothers Airport is located east of I-75 at the Austin Boulevard exit, 41.

International Thunderbird Club Members Visit Wright “B” Museum
Several members of the International Thunderbird Club who were meeting in Fairborn, Ohio visited the Wright “B” Flyer Museum on Tuesday, June 25, 2013. Some of them purchased Honorary Aviator Memberships and took orientation flights. Three more returned on Thursday, June 27 to purchase memberships and take orientation flights. Wright “B” Flyer Look-alike at the Vectren Dayton Airshow
The Wright “B” Flyer Look-alike opened the Vectren Dayton Airshow on Saturday, June 22 and Sunday, June 23 with flyovers. Following the flyovers the Wright “B” was on static display at the Airshow. Click here to see pictures on our Facebook site.
Wright “B” Flyer Museum Closed on July 4
The Wright B Flyer Inc. Museum will be closed on Thursday, July 4, 2013 in celebration of the USA’s 237th birthday. The Museum will reopen on Saturday, July 6. We wish you all a safe and happy 4th of July.
Wright “B” Flyer Orientation Flights Began June 25
After long delays for maintenance and modifications, the Wright “B” Flyer began orientation flights on Tuesday, June 25. Six new Honorary Aviator members took orientation flights that morning.
Wright B Flyer to Participate in Vectren Dayton Air Show
The Wright “B” Flyer Look-alike will open the Vectren Dayton Air show on Saturday, June 22 and Sunday, June 23 with flyovers. After those flights it will be on static display.
