The volunteers of the Wright B Flyer Inc. are saddened by the passing of Marion Davis Wright on Thursday, May 16, 2013. She was the widow of Wilkinson “Wick” Wright, the great-nephew of Wilbur and Orville Wright, and the step-mother of Amanda Wright Lane and Stephen Wright. Our deepest sympathies go to Family and Friends of Mrs. Wright. More information can be found on page B4 of the Dayton Daily News’ May 18, 2013 edition.

This scholarship was established by the National Aviation Heritage Alliance (NAHA)
to honor the memories of the two Wright B Flyer pilots and engineers lost in an
aircraft accident in July 2010.
The first award of this scholarship was made immediately following the 109th
Anniversary of Powered Flight ceremony held at the Wright Memorial on Wright
Patterson Air Force Base.
The scholarship was awarded to William Daniel (Will) Everett. The $1500 will allow Will to continue his flight training towards a Private Pilots license. Will currently has 17 hours of flight time and has soloed.
Wright B Flyer Inc. also provided Will with an Honorary Aviator Membership which will give him an orientation ride in our 1911 Wright B Flyer look-a-like aircraft.
This scholarship will be awarded annually.
The Wright “B” Hangar’s new entrance is now complete. For a view of the old and new entrances go to our Facebook site by clicking here.
