The Wright “B” Flyer Inc. museum will be closed for Thanksgiving observance on Thursday, November 22, 2018 and on Saturday, November 24, 2018. The museum will reopen on Tuesday, November 27 for normal operating hours and days.
It is with regret that we inform you that former Wright “B” Flyer and Board of Trustees Chairman Phil Beaudoin passed away over the weekend of November 10 – 11. Phil had been living in the St. George, Utah area since leaving the leadership position of the Wright “B” Flyer inc. His memorial service will be Saturday, November 24, 2018, 11:30 am at the New Promise Lutheran Church, 244 S. Valley View, St. George, Utah. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations go to “Southern Utah Veterans Home”, 160 N 200E, Ivins, Utah 84738.
The Wright “B” Flyer Hangar will close at 11:30 am on Saturday, September 22 for a private event. Regular hours will resume on Tuesday, September 25.
Runway Fest 2018 will be held on August 10, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Dayton-Wright Brothers Airport. This is a free family event with attractions that include music, food, inflatables, aircraft, the Wright B Flyer, and fireworks at 9:30. For directions and more information click here.
Wright “B” Flyer, Inc. will put the Valentine Flyer on Static Display at For Sam Houston on May 5 and 6, 2018. This aircraft, shown here, is a near replica for the first military aircraft that the Wright Brothers delivered to the US Army Signal Corps in 1909. It was built in the 1970s by Tom and Nancy Valentine who were living in California at that time.
Memorial Services will be held for Major General Peter (Peet) Odgers at the Hope Hotel and Conference Center, Fairborn, Ohio on Saturday, February 10, at 2:30 pm. General Odgers died on January 20, 2018 from cancer. “Peet” was born September

On Friday, December 15, Jay Jabour, National Aviation Heritage Alliance (NAHA) Trustee and Wright B Flyer, Inc. Board of Trustees Chairman, awarded the Cary-Gum Aviation Scholarship to Alex Hackney. Alex, a 15-year-old freshman at Greeneview High School in Jamestown, is the son of Paul and Rebecca Hackney.
