About Wright “B” Flyer Inc.

Wright “B” Flyer Inc. is an all-volunteer, membership-based, not-for-profit corporation based on Dayton-Wright Brothers Airport near Dayton, Ohio. We fly or display a growing fleet of Model B lookalikes, and our hangar doubles as a museum.

Our flying airplane, No. 001, is available for fly-overs and static displays at public and private events. Members who join at or upgrade to the Honorary Aviator level are eligible for a free orientation flight.

In cooperation with the National Park Service and the U.S. Air Force, we display the non-flying Valentine Wright Model B on Huffman Prairie, where Wilbur and Orville Wright tested the original airplane and later trained more than 100 pioneer aviators. We offer a speaker’s program for schools and community groups.

Mission statement:
To promote, through exhibition of Wright “B” Flyer lookalikes, public awareness of the Dayton, Ohio region, where the Wright Brothers lived, invented the airplane, and gave birth to modern aviation.
